Tsugaru-Nuri Three-Tier Lacquered Jubako Box

A traditional Japanese three-tier Jubako box finished in Tsugaru-Nuri lacquerware. Its richly layered surface reveals an intricate abstract pattern of deep green, red, black and golden tones. The vivid vermilion interior contrasts beautifully with the darker exterior. Traditionally used to serve food during celebrations and special occasions, it also makes a striking decorative object.

These are older pieces and may show signs of age, scratches, surface marks or use consistent with their history.
