Hakone Yosegi-Zaiku Bowl

A vintage wooden bowl made using Hakone yosegi-zaiku, the traditional marquetry craft of the Hakone region. Different woods are carefully assembled to create the fine checkerboard pattern running across the center, contrasting with the natural grain of the surrounding timber.
