Artifact #9

¥30,000Price

A homage to Japan’s legendary toolmakers, reinterpreted through hand-painted ceramic pieces.

“Artifacts” is a project dedicated to recontextualizing overlooked ceramics from Japan’s Showa era. Sourced by Yuthanan through extensive travels across the country, each piece is carefully selected for its historical and aesthetic value.

By reinterpreting them with hand-painted iconic logos, these vessels are given new life, bridging heritage craft with contemporary visual language. The concept draws inspiration from a 1950s Sony campaign where branded tea sets were gifted to customers.

The concept of incorporating logos does not originate from us but draws inspiration from a vintage Sony marketing campaign in the 1950s, in which "Sony" tea sets were given away to customers. To pay homage to this campaign, however, no Sony logos are used in our collection.

This project has been brought to life in collaboration with the painter and artist Noor ul Aien, who meticulously hand-painted each piece freehand
