Vintage Issey Miyake Necktie #2

For this collection, I’ve selected some of my favorite Issey Miyake neckties from across Japan, dating from the early 1980s to the early 1990s. These neckties embody the essence of Miyake’s design philosophy, which emphasized simplicity, functionality, and the innovative use of fabric.
 
The ties often feature distinctive textures, color-blocking, and geometric patterns, with some incorporating pleating—a technique for which Miyake is widely recognized. The IM monogram, presented in a bold, minimalist font, reflects his belief that simplicity is a form of sophistication.
