Copper Artifact #6

This project serves as a bridge between Thailand and Japan, two cultures deeply intertwined with Yuthanan's life, one by heritage and the other by adoption since 2017.

For this month's release, we have sourced unique antique copper vases from the early shows era. Over time, these vases have naturally oxidized, creating a stunning gradient that transitions from green to a rich orange-brown hue, with each piece showcasing its own distinct patina.

I believe we don’t always need to create new materials to make art. Instead, we can repurpose forgotten treasures from the past, giving them new meaning and transforming them into fresh expressions of creativity. Curiosity, or “ความอยากรู้” in Thai, is the driving force behind our individuality and creative expression.

This project has been brought to life in collaboration with the painter and artist Noor ul Aien, who meticulously hand-painted each piece freehand.
